LUMBER QUALITY

What are you checking for besides dimensions?
Do you purchase the lumber pre-cut or are you cutting it yourself?
Will lumber come to the machine frozen during the colder months?
If you answered yes, do you have enough storage area to avoid this?

OTHER LUMBER REQUIREMENTS

Can stringers be shingled to eliminate the sticker board removal process?
Can you load the lumber onto the system without needing a pallet underneath?
Does stringer placement within the pallet matter?
Are all stringers in a pallet always the same, or is there sometimes a difference between the outside and inside stringers?

VALUE

Is pay straight hourly, or are your operators paid piece rate as well?

SAFETY/GUARDING

Guarding the cell comes at an additional cost. Is it worth extra cost to you to have guarding on the machine provided, or would you prefer to guard yourself?
(Note: removal of guarding would require an acceptance from customer of all liability in the event of any injuries related to the machine)
